A strong Human Resources department is critical to an organization’s effectiveness and success. Getting to know the functions of the people within an organization benefits everyone, creating a cohesive, inclusive and fully functioning workplace.
For all participants, including managers, employees, and other stakeholders, an understanding of their people helps predict, control and plan an organization’s operations. HR is tasked with a range of responsibilities like attracting the best talent, getting the most out of employees, maintaining a fair and equal environment for everyone, and strategically leveraging talents and skills to work towards the organization’s common goal.
CBU’s HR program explores leadership, interpersonal communication, organizational behaviour, industrial relations, workplace diversity, administrative and employment law, and organizational development. All areas of HR are pertinent to a management role within an organization. Start your career as a Human Rights Officer, Talent Recruiter, Health and Safety Officer, Human Resources Director, Compensation/Payroll Specialist or Industrial Relations Specialist to name a few.
