Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Communications) combines the fundamental engineering disciplines of electronic systems and communication systems to provide graduates with skills in all aspects of analog and digital circuit design and communications systems development The course concentrates on the engineering principles required to analyze and solve problems related to the design and implementation of electronic and communication systems Students will graduate conversant in the fundamental physical sciences, electronic circuits & systems, digital signal processing, power electronics, fibre optic & microwave communications, computer networking and cellular & wireless networks The course provides a sound basis in mathematics and design principle in the fundamentals of electronics and engineering along with relevant computer technology and programming principles Students are required to complete practicum placement(s) as part of this course because, during the course, students will be required to undertake a minimum of 12 weeks of practical work experience located in an engineering industry environment
