Civil engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the human-made environment, including buildings, roads, bridges, tunnels, dams and other large physical structures Areas of study within the Civil Engineering course include a foundation in physical and engineering sciences along with computer-aided design, engineering materials, structural design & analysis, steel & concrete design, surveying, road design & construction, water supply engineering, construction technology & site management and project management Students will graduate with competencies in all major areas of civil engineering and be able to participate in and lead complex multidisciplinary projects Students are required to complete practicum placement(s) as part of this course
