ADVANCED DIPLOMA (MUSIC INDUSTRY - PERFORMANCE)

Program Description This qualification is for people who want to work in the creative arts industries as recording artists, musicians, singers, arrangers, directors songwriters and music teachers. Students will extend and refine a wide-range of analytical, technical, creative, conceptual and managerial skills to chosen field in the music industry. From the specialist units students can extend their skills in music composition, arrangement, directing or performance. Performance may be as freelance, soloist or in a group. Specific skills may include using musical instruments, leading a performance from a repertoire or improvisation. From the elective units students can develop other specialist skills related to the music industry such as project management, innovation and creative thinking, songwriting, making a record, releasing a record and making a music video.
