Your program allows you to focus your attention on studio art and art history/museum studies courses as you come to understand and appreciate art from around the world and immerse yourself in the study and the conversations about culture and creativity. You have the flexibility to explore a range of emerging and traditional art studio areas: drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, performance art, photography, printmaking, media and electronic art. You will learn a full range of technical and theoretical approaches to artmaking, put at the forefront of this diverse and exiting field of study.
As a senior student, you have 24/7 access to your own studio and the support from a studio professor of your choice, who will work one-on-one with you to develop your own artistic direction. In addition to having your own studio space, you will develop the critical abilities to evaluate artists and develop your artist style and direction through discussion and open dialogue on contemporary art with practicing arts on and off campus.
