Program Description Kinesiology involves the study of all aspects of human movement, including anatomy, physiology, physical fitness and health, growth and motor development, individual and team sports, biomechanics, injury management, coaching, teaching, and administration.
CNC’s Kinesiology Diploma is a two-year full-time program where graduates obtain a general knowledge of the many sub-disciplines of kinesiology. Students will have employability in entry-level positions in the kinesiology field, as-well as the option to continue their studies at a degree-granting institution.
A career in Kinesiology could include the following:
- Sports science and medicine
- Coaching and rehabilitation
- Sports psychology
- Practicing kinesiologist
Upon completion of the required courses, students will graduate from CNC with a Kinesiology Diploma, including the following industry certifications:
- Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) – Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
- National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) – Introduction to Competition Part A
- National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) – Introduction to Competition Part B
- Run-Jump-Throw Certification (credit in NCCP in Athletics) or equivalent certification
