Program Description This Ontario College Diploma program, delivered in an intensive format over 35 weeks, prepares students to become educators of young children in a variety of early learning settings. Students are provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to work with families and other professionals to support children`s learning and development. Emphasis is on the development of inclusive play-based curriculum for children from birth to age 12. Students benefit from opportunities to observe the application of best practices and to apply their knowledge in real-world settings as they participate in field placements.
Students in the Intensive program bring relevant education and experiences as a result, the program is fast paced with frequent assignments. Students must be able to work effectively both independently and in a group situation.
