Program Description The Aircraft Structural Repair Technician is responsible for the assessment of damage, control of corrosion, repairs, modifications, and replacement of aircraft structures and structural components. Some of the duties include: Use specialized tools and equipment Employ recognized techniques for maintenance repair and fabrication Perform repairs using wood, fabric, sheet metal and composite materials Outcomes Demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviors that will enable me to become successful in the industry. Develop techniques, standards and practices of structural repair that conforms to Transport Canada guidelines for the occupation. Provide a broad overview of aircraft maintenance and repair functions with specific emphasis on safety practices in the industry. Demonstrate safe work practices and personal protection. Meet the requirements to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer category "S" - Structural Repair.
