The Bachelor of Information Technology at Southern Cross University is designed to provide knowledge and skills required for students who wish to be employed in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry The program focuses on the development of web-based business information systems Students undertake studies in programming, systems analysis and design, multimedia development and usage, database development, networking and communications theory, computer security and technology management Students gain the skills needed to design, develop, implement and manage information systems and also provides students with a realistic understanding of the roles of information technology in organizations Develop and create effective solutions to straight forward problems from an IT discipline area
