The BA (Hons) Education course looks at educational issues beyond the confines of the classroom. Exploring topics on a local, national and global scale, students will learn about education from all perspectives. Through this degree, students will understand how they can make a significant difference to the lives of others.
In several modules the focus of this degree is to enable students to work on educational real-world projects from which they gain great satisfaction in completing. This will empower them to know how to make change happen. Students will be learning in an active manner!
Students will explore key theories of human development as well as thoughts concerning the nature of education, learning and thinking. Students will learn current policy and practice in education and the contemporary issues in relation to the historical development of the English educational system. Students will have an increasing focus on issues of environmental responsibility and on social justice.
