This program is not currently offered by the university The degree is offered with the two options for the completion- 4-year full-time or 5-year thick-sandwich It integrates basic flying training with the technical subjects needed to become an aeronautical engineer, including an understanding of the aviation industry and how it works Students will be undertaking modules like Aircraft Ground Theory and Flying Practice, Fundamentals of Thermofluids, etc. It incorporates fundamental practice and theory but also presents the opportunity to obtain a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL) and to undertake training in a flight simulator The degree includes the additional charge for covering the first 15 hours of flight training with a qualified flying instructor In addition, it also examines wider aspects of the aviation industry, for e.g. aircraft operations (MEng) and environmental issues
