Program Description The Associate of Arts Degree with Specialization in Creative Writing provides students with theory and practice in writing poetry, plays, fiction, children's literature and personal narrative. Students may further specialize in one of the genres by taking advanced courses. The workshop method of teaching allows students to develop the critical thinking skills needed for revising their own work, as well as the interpersonal skills necessary to participate in upper level and graduate level workshops in university.
Students enrolled in this program may be eligible for a Co-operative Education designation. Co-operative Education involves alternating full-time academic and work terms. For information contact the Co-operative Education Office.
