Program Description This advanced diploma expands on courses taken as part of two year natural resource/natural environment technician curriculum. It is geared towards those individuals looking to integrate conventional resource management techniques with new emerging disciplines such as Field Investigative Techniques, advanced GIS, Energy Site Development and Invasive Species Management. Conservation and management of natural resources is the overriding element of courses taught within this program.
Students will hone their problem solving skills and work independently on unique projects in a field placement for an outside agency. They will also work in teams to develop resource stewardship plans for Sault College partners. Courses and timetables are set up to allow for a modularized approach and allow students to work on projects for a continuous block of time.
