Things you'll learn to do
Write marketing plans that analyze the unique situation a firm faces, and recommend actions to keep the organization competitive. Develop and deliver sales presentations and advertising plans. Meet the needs of the changing marketing environment by using digital marketing tools within a strategic business context. Marketing electives give flexibility Customize your education by choosing the marketing electives that meet your goals and interests. Get a broad marketing learning experience, or choose to specialize in areas such as digital marketing or sales. Our courses are continuously being updated and added to meet changing industry demands.
Co-op opportunity
In the three-year Marketing advanced diploma program, you can add valuable work experience to your resumé through cooperative education. You'll spend your final two years in the program alternating between school and work, applying what you're learning in class to the workplace. Co-op is a competitive process, and you'll need to meet certain criteria in order to qualify to participate.
Earn your Professional Sales Certificate
As a marketing student at Sheridan, you'll have the chance to earn a professional certificate from the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA). If you complete six core courses that align with the CPSA Skills and Knowledge Competencies, you'll be eligible to apply for the Professional Sales Certificate from the CPSA.
Extracurricular involvement
The Sheridan Marketing experience extends beyond the classroom. You'll have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of extracurricular activities and student-run organizations such as the Marketing Association, Business Council and Sheridan Student Union. You can also join other business students in Enactus and Toastmasters clubs, and you'll have the opportunity to represent the college at events such as the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition (OCMC).
