Program Description UTP Stage I: FIC is designed to prepare you for entry to university-level programs in Business Administration, Computing Science, Engineering Science or Arts and Social Sciences. In UTP Stage I you complete eight courses. After successfully completing this program you will progress to UTP Stage II.
UTP Stage II: Environment provides first-year courses and the foundation for progression to the second year of SFU's Faculty of Environment. With growing awareness of Environmental issues around the World, a degree from the Faculty of the Environment will provide multiple career options in Canada and around the World.
This program is meant for students with a minimum of a Grade 11 education or equivalent and an IELTS overall score of 5.5 with no band less than 4.5 and TOEFL overall score of 59 and a minimum score of 12 in Reading and Writing, that would like to pursue a post-secondary education at Simon Fraser University. The program begins with an 8-month foundational program, including a mandatory English literacy course, followed by 12 months of a faculty-specialized academic program equivalent to the first year of university at SFU. Admission into the Simon Fraser University is not guaranteed - students must meet progression requirements as well as any program-specific entry requirements highlighted by the the University in order to gain admission.
Archaeology focuses upon the human past from our earliest pre-human ancestors to issues of First Nations heritage and its management in the modern world. Concerned particularly with human/environmental interactions, they offer numerous courses in scientific and theoretical approaches to its study.
