The process of becoming a nurse in Canada is sometimes difficult to understand. Each province has their own process for becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) and sometimes there are multiple authorities to work with to become a nurse. In British Columbia, for example, there are five different entities that an internationally educated nurse has to work with in order to become a nurse in B.C.
This program gives Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) the opportunity to integrate their learning concepts and experiences into the Canadian healthcare environment, potentially leading to employment anywhere in Canada. A hands-on approach will guide students through understanding not just Canadian healthcare, but the steps and tools needed to complete and pass the examinations required to become a certified Registered Nurse (RN) in Canada.
