The MSc in Mathematics and Computing for Finance is designed to meet the demand for specially trained mathematicians in the world’s finance and insurance markets Students will study different elements of mathematics and computing, and develop their research, project management, and written communication skills Upon graduation students will be a knowledgeable and specialised mathematician with proven skills to independently deliver a substantial project, and the potential to make a serious difference in any organisation Students will first study a wide range of modules covering topics including stochastic processes, algebraic coding theory, black scholes theory and financial mathematics Over the course of studies, students are assessed by a combination of written examinations, coursework and the dissertation
