Course Description

Get the knowledge and skills to develop evidenced-based health promotion programs. Preventing illness and promoting health are major aspects of the work of health agencies in all developed and developing countries. You will examine strategies that help people take action about their own health, strengthen community action and create environments that are more supportive of health. These include policy environments, physical environments, social environments and economic environments. This course also offers you the option of undertaking a major or minor project. These projects allow you to apply the knowledge and skills developed in the coursework component of the degree to a significant health issue by commencing a comprehensive literature review, industry-linked project or a research project.
