Program Description Mechanical engineers are responsible for the design, analysis, construction, maintenance, and operation of machines and systems in a number of industry sectors, such as automotive, aerospace, power generation, manufacturing, steel, and pulp and paper. Mechanical engineers commonly go beyond the limits of purely mechanical work, and are found at all levels of management in private industry and the public sector.
The MEng is a course-based program designed for working professionals or recent graduates who want to increase their knowledge in multiple, advanced topics. Graduates of the MEng program can apply to UWindsor's fast-track MASc program, which provides them with additional research-specific training and education. MEng students will be required to complete a minimum of eight graduate-level courses, including five from their area of specialization plus three required courses: Engineering Technical Communications, Engineering Mathematics and Engineering Project Management. Full-time students must complete this program in 3-5 semesters.
