Course Description
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is an intensive language program that prepares students for university or college studies in English. Students have 22.5 hours of classroom instruction per week. This full-time program is suitable for students planning to apply to university (at the undergraduate or graduate level) and college, and for students already enrolled in a post-secondary institution. Those who have completed their university education and who wish to improve their academic English skills will also be well served by this program. The EAP Program offers intensive, integrated practice in all four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. This program also puts particular emphasis on the knowledge, skills and strategies essential for academic success:
