Program Description Do your photography skills go far beyond the selfie? If you have the eye for amazing pictures, and if you're ready to turn your photography dreams into a thriving, creative and satisfying profession, Fanshawe's Photography program will give you the skills necessary to have the type of career you've always pictured.
You'll master the fundamentals of video and audio capture using DSLR cameras, as well as learning the nuances of black and white and colour digital printing systems. You'll use high-end laptops, digital imaging and video editing software and have 24/7 access to Fanshawe's on-campus photography studio (along with a campus print shop dedicated to students of the program) – cutting edge technology to give you a professional advantage. You'll also examine photography theory and science, lighting techniques, marketing, and small business management. You'll have a diverse and dynamic set of skills for the always evolving world of professional photography.
When you graduate, you'll be qualified to work as a photojournalist, or in architectural, advertising, and fashion photography. And, if you have the entrepreneurial spirit, point your camera to a career in public relations, portrait, wedding or group photography.
