Program Description The emphasis in the Computer Programmer diploma program is to give students the necessary computer programming skills to design, develop and implement computer systems. Sault College strives to keep its hardware and software environments as close as possible to industry standards and that is reflected in the lab environment where a mix of platforms exists to support curriculum objectives. Students will develop their skills using a variety of programming languages in current use including C++, Python, Visual Basic .NET, Java and scripting languages, such as JavaScript, and apply those skills to the writing of standalone and web-based DBMS applications.
Other courses relate to the design and implementation of databases, client server systems, mobile applications, systems analysis and design, and web-based systems. The program prides itself on highly motivated and qualified professors.
