Program Description The Community and Justice Services program is designed to prepare students for careers in the field of criminal justice with attention to intervention and re-integration. The nature of these environments and the diversity of clients demand a highly trained work force able to intervene effectively using best practices, in order to ensure the protection of the public, and the safety of the community, staff, and clients.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Taught by experts currently in the field, the curriculum prepares students for a wide variety of careers related to institutional and community based corrections and for other areas of law enforcement. In addition to specialized courses involving both theory and practical hands-on learning, the CJS program provides students with the opportunity to obtain invaluable real-life experience through a 320 hour work placement in corrections or in one of many other agencies and/or community programs relating to law enforcement and criminal justice. The program also prepares students to meet with success for the FITCO fitness testing required by the Ministry of Corrections. Log In to see Admissi
