Program Description This program will provide you with a variety of trade-specific skills, introducing you to installing, maintaining and repairing piping systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings, to enhance opportunities for employment.
In the two-semester Mechanical Techniques - Plumbing program, you will learn to: Identify and install common plumbing fixtures in our multi-story KUBE structure Assemble various piping systems related to plumbing Interpret and create drawings, estimates and material lists Develop competencies in venting, waste and drainage systems Examine concepts in water and wastewater systems, including operations, backflow and cross connection Explore renewable energy systems related to plumbing Work competently with various hand and power tools
