Applied mathematics is one of the most timeless and international disciplines in existence This course allows students to investigate the number theory studied by Pythagoras and the financial mathematics depended on every day in Wall Street It covers a range of material including pure mathematics, applied mathematics and mathematics for finance Students can progress to focus on one aspect of the subject, or continue to cover a breadth of material Studying maths at Swansea University gives you access to world-leading teaching and cutting edge facilities Students will study subjects reflecting research expertise in areas such as nonlinear partial differential equations, noncommutative geometry and algebraic topology Students will also learn to use logical reasoning and construct rigorous arguments alongside oral and written communication skills
