Program Description Chemistry is the study of matter. It examines the composition, structures, properties, reactions, and syntheses of molecules and materials. At its most fundamental level, chemistry involves investigating how atoms are chemically bonded to, or interact with, other atoms.
You will begin your studies by focusing on the broad principles that describe how the matter in the world around you exists and behaves at the molecular level.
In your second and third years you will concentrate on the four main sub-disciplines of chemistry, then move on to more specialized courses in your third and fourth years including:
