Program Description Our programs are designed to qualify graduates for a wide range of positions in the rapidly expanding field of recreation and leisure services. You can find our graduates working in an extensive variety of recreation and leisure service provision agencies around the world – we are proud of them!
In the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies, we integrate and apply knowledge from philosophy, psychology, sociology, geography, health studies, and environmental studies to understand recreation and leisure behaviours. We also strive to provide students with plenty of hand-on, experiential learning opportunities to help connect theory with practice!
Our commitment to integrity, respect for diversity and inclusiveness, and the value and importance of recreation and leisure in society is the foundation for imaginative and innovative scholarship in teaching, learning and research.
