Mechatronics engineering is concerned with the synergy of electrical, computer and mechanical technologies that lead to new solutions to industrial problems Students study a diverse range of courses in areas such as technical design, automation and operational performance of the electromechanical systems used in industries such as defence, advanced manufacturing, mining and health Students will have Comprehensive, theory-based understanding of engineering fundamentals and/or the underpinning natural and physical sciences as applicable to the engineering discipline Students gain an understanding of the scope, principles, norms, accountabilities, and bounds of contemporary engineering practice in the specific discipline Elective pathway gives students the opportunity to broaden their skills and knowledge in their own or another engineering discipline; or specialize in areas such as business, maths or science; or undertake study overseas
