Course Description
Program Description Sociology is the study of people as they interact with one another in specific social, cultural, and historical contexts. It uses a scientific approach to study human behaviour and the social influences that affect it. In the sociology program, you will examine the role of powerful institutions like the media or the education system and think about how these might be changed. You will also study things like: youth culture inequality ethnicity power In your first year, you will be introduced to the study of social problems through dynamic class interactions and assignments. Second and third-year courses help build on your critical, analytical, and writing skills and teach theoretical approaches to sociology in preparation for your final year of studies. In your fourth year, you will work with a greater degree of independence, taking a more in depth look at a range of topics.
