FULL DESCRIPTION
This course is ideal for students who have an inquisitive mind and a keen interest in contemporary events, both domestic and global, and ambition to pursue employment in the public policy field. This course encourages students to engage directly as a political scientist or theorist by doing their own independent research, culminating in the production of a final year dissertation on a topic of their choice. Throughout the degree students will develop a greater awareness of the complexity and connectedness of the processes that shape the world. This opens up careers in a wide range of fields in the public and private sectors, fostering the skills, imagination, understanding and flexibility that employers demand.
