Program Description The Associate of Arts Degree with a focus on Intercultural and International Studies is suitable for students who plan to pursue a career in international relations or foreign affairs, and for those interested in international economic, political and cultural history, issues and philosophies. Students also learn the basics of a second language and skills for communicating in an international context.
In most cases, an Associate Degree will allow you to transfer to a university and enter the third year of a four-year bachelor's degree program. Many universities prefer candidates with an Associate Degree and will accept students at a lower grade point average than those without the degree.
