Current theories, models and interventions used in social service agencies to build healthy, positive relationships and connections within communities. Value of self-reflection and how to engage in critical self-awareness to increase your ability to help others and respect the uniqueness and dignity of all people. Develop core values of helping others such as the right to choose, the right to equality, justice and access to services. Acquire helping skills such as interviewing, assessing the needs of others, working effectively with groups and assisting communities to change.
