Program Description Radio isn't what it used to be. Of course, turning the radio dial will never go out of style, but with the emergence of online streaming and podcasts, a career in the radio business has never been more dynamic. If you're looking to turn your creative and communication skills into an exciting and constantly evolving career, the Broadcasting – Radio program will help you tune into your full potential. You'll be trained in this highly concentrated, hands-on program for careers in radio broadcasting and emerging broadcast media. You'll program and operate four radio stations: The Falcon, CFRL Radio, Stellar Radio and CIXXFM - 106.9 The X — Canada's first teaching radio station equipped with the latest digital control room and production equipment. You'll learn about on-air performance, creative writing, audition production, sales/marketing/promotions, broadcast administration/traffic, web content development, engineering and music and programming. You'll learn in a live environment while performing on-air and behind-the-scenes job functions identical to those in the live broadcast industry.
