Course Description

Program Description Medicine Hat College has transfer agreements with various institutions across Alberta and other provinces. Starting courses at Medicine Hat College can provide significant advantages over a large university, such as cost savings on tuition and accommodation, smaller class sizes with teaching-focused instruction and personalized advising and support. Depending on the program choice, students may be able to take up to two years at the MHC campus and then transfer on to a university and complete a degree program or professional university program. Starting at MHC will allow students to get the most out of the teaching through teaching-focused classrooms. You can begin your degree in social work at Medicine Hat College and then apply to transfer to either the University of Calgary, Faculty of Social Work; or the University of Regina, Faculty of Social Work. If you choose to transfer to the University of Calgary, you have the option of completing the Bachelor of Social Work Learning Circles program at the Medicine Hat College campus.
