Program Description A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) prepares graduates who are committed to excellence in professional practice and who will contribute to the health and well-being of individuals, families, communities and society. Graduates of this program also possess introductory knowledge and competencies for nursing leadership, education and research. BScN graduates are eligible to write the NCLEX-RN Canadian Registered Nurse Examination and apply to become a Registered Nurse (RN).
Learn the Skills You Need MacEwan University's BScN is a rigorous, four-year, 132-credit degree program. Knowledge, concepts and theories are integrated from the discipline of nursing, the liberal arts and sciences. The curriculum is uniquely sequenced to promote integration and application of knowledge and diverse skills, such as relational and ethical practice, critical thinking and clinical judgement, risk assessment, health promotion and injury prevention, writing, and health assessment. Knowledge, skills and attributes are integrated within classroom, laboratory and practice settings.
