Program Description The BSc (An.Biosc) is an applied sciences degree that provides students with a broad background in domestic animal biology in areas such as animal metabollism, genetics, physiology, nutrition, behaviour, care, health, and social and environmental impact. This program is designed for students who have an interest in domestic animal biology. While experience with any domestic animal (e.g. horse, dog, cat, cattle) may be useful, animal experience is not required. Students will have a variety of opportunities for animal experience during the program. This program meets pre-veterinary medicine requirements and prepares students to work in fields outside of traditional animal agriculture including biomedical sciences, companion, equine and research animal care, animal health and environmental sciences.
