Program Description Drama is the study of theatre with an applied approach to learning. If you’re interested in joining the Department of Drama, chances are you’re envisioning a career in the performing arts. Our outstanding faculty and staff share your passion, and we provide a consistently creative and supportive environment to help students achieve career success. Our students learn how to act for theatre, film, radio and television. They learn how to write plays, manage stage sets and design costumes. Students explore the directing process, participate in audition training and develop rehearsal schedules. They also gain important, hands-on experience with lighting, sound production and stage management. Top it all off with study of the theory and evolution of theatrical production, and it’s no surprise that our alumni have gained widespread success in Canada, Hollywood and around the world.
