Program Description Civil Engineering is a diverse discipline that involves the planning, design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, highways and natural systems. Basically, you will learn to provide and improve the services the public utilizes every day.

Our Faculty of Engineering offers a unique four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), with an optional co-operative education component.
NOTE: Almost all Lakehead University programs are designed with courses that require successful completion of a a Fall session prerequisite course. As a result, students who choose to begin their academic studies in the Winter session will find the course selection extremely limited and will be restricted to attending on a part-time basis until the following Fall academic session. Most study permits require that the applicant is a full-time student. Because of this, It is recommended that students apply for a September start.
