Program Description Chemical Engineering is a broad and versatile discipline drawing on principles from: Chemistry Physics Mathematics Computer Science Economics Biology A Chemical Engineer often works in industries that produce advanced materials, energy, fuels or pharmaceuticals to solve problems and work toward a safe, efficient and environmentally-friendly future. Our Faculty of Engineering offers a unique four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB), with an optional co-operative education component. NOTE: Almost all Lakehead University programs are designed with courses that require successful completion of a a Fall session prerequisite course. As a result, students who choose to begin their academic studies in the Winter session will find the course selection extremely limited and will be restricted to attending on a part-time basis until the following Fall academic session. Most study permits require that the applicant is a full-time student. Because of this, It is recommended that students apply for a September start.
