Course Description

Program Description Global Studies gives you flexibility to shape your degree according to your own interests. You can choose to take a range of courses across our curriculum, or do a concentration in one of our three fields of study:​ Peace and Conflict International Development Globalization and Culture As a Global Studies student, you'll explore how globalization challenges us to think in new ways about the relationships between citizens, communities, governments, corporations and other organizations on the world stage. You’ll gain an awareness of crucial issues like food security, human migration and Indigenous rights. You'll also learn how to conduct research and critical analysis to tackle specific problems both around the world and within your local community. Management Option: The fundamentals of business are at the heart of any organization and many careers. While you complete your degree in an Arts, Economics, Science or Music program, our Management Option will provide you with an understanding of the core principles of the business world, including accounting, marketing, human resources, operations, policy, and finance. You'll take courses such as Understanding the Business Environment; Introduction to Financial Accounting; Introduction to Microeconomics or Macroeconomics; and Statistics.
