Step 1 : Office Administration - Legal (Apply To 0210x01f) (0210B01F)
The program consists of four levels. Levels 01 and 02 are the Office Administration - General, Ontario College Certificate program (0210X01FWO). Levels 03 and 04 are designed to give students knowledge and skills in the areas of wills and estates, litigation, real estate, corporate law. Students apply business concepts, accounting practices, legal office procedures, and use specialized legal software to prepare and format documentation within client files. Emphasis is placed on the practical demands of the job, as well as confidentiality, professional ethics and meeting deadlines. Students participate in office simulations where they deal with realistic client matters and develop high-level word processing, presentation, Internet, email, database accounting and spreadsheet skills in a network environment.
