Program Description This program provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform effectively in entry-level bookkeeping positions in business and industry. The program focuses on day-to-day operational bookkeeping and managerial accounting in a computerized business environment. The program features a unique, flexible delivery designed to enhance student success. Courses are delivered in a modular format organized in weeks. During the first seven weeks students will complete three courses, followed by a Student Success Week. In the final seven weeks of the semester, students will complete four courses. The second semester of the program is delivered in a similar way. This unique, delivery format benefits students by maintaining focus on fewer courses at a time rather than 6-7 courses in a common full-semester delivery format. Upon completion of the certificate, students are eligible to receive credit for eight of the nine courses required by the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB). Three years of relevant bookkeeping experience are also required for the Certified Bookkeeper designation. For more details, visit Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping.
